- 34 consecutive years at the Will County Sheriff's Office
- Elected Will County Sheriff in 2014
- Re-elected Will County Sheriff in 2018
- Widower/ Proud father of three boys
- Lifelong resident of Lockport
- Graduated from the Illinois State Police Academy
- Held several elected and appointed positions in local government since 2005 prior to being elected Sheriff
